Simply call Australian Insulations on 13 0005 0005.  We have a comprehensive network of qualified installers across Australia.

Please note that the rebate is not available to homeowners who want to install the insulation themselves so you will need a licensed insulation professional.

Can I choose my insulation type?

As a consumer you are able to specify your insulation.  Australian Insulations installation team has over 30 years experience and provide professional advice to our customers to ensure you make the best decision for your specific circumstances.

What is an R-Value?

To compare the insulating ability of the various products available look at their R-value, which measures resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value the higher the level of insulation.

Australian Insulations uses a range of products that have various R values depending on your preference, but in order to gain the best possible performance in your ceiling it is recommended that you install R3.5 products or higher. Our highest performing range is R6.0 and is the highest available R-rated product in Australia.

Product Safety

Will I get itchy installing glasswool

Creating insulation out of glass fibres has the benefit of being inert and strong so it will provide you lifetime performance.  However some sharper edges and a loose dust is generated when the fibres are cut to shape in the factory, and this may cause minor irritation during installation.  This is not a chemical irritation - its mechanical and can be relieved quickly by washing with soap and water.

After installation there is no risk of irritation if left undisturbed. In general roof spaces and building sites are dusty environments and Australian Insulations recommends protective equipment be worn when working with any material in these spaces.

Is fibreglass the next asbestos?

A Fibreglass (or glasswool as it is now called) insulation has been in use around the world since the mid -1930's. Glasswool insulation has been comprehensively researched over more than 30 years and the World Health Organisation has concluded that glasswool does not pose any serious health hazard.

Has fibreglass insulation been banned in the USA?

There is no truth to this rumour which has been around for nearly 20 years.
